Sonia Sabri Company (SSCo) is a leading UK contemporary South Asian Dance company with a national and international programme of performance and education work catering to people of all ages, experiences and cultural backgrounds.  We are seeking an exceptional individual who combines vision and imagination with organisational skills and an attention to detail to join a small team at SSCo’s office in Birmingham as Projects Manager.

 

SSCo (Birmingham) is looking for a dynamic, enterprising and experienced projects manager to help the company develop and realise an exciting and secure future. The primary purpose of the post is to create, develop and manage a range of strategic projects working closely with the Artistic Director’s vision and the business plan. SSCo has been invited to become an NPO by Arts Council England and will embark on a programme of ambitious projects including outdoor performance, digital dance and film and mid scale touring productions. As well as seeking an individual with experience in these areas, SSCo is particularly interested in someone who is able to generate new possibilities and partnerships for the company internationally as well as nationally.

 

The individual must have a minimum of three years project management experience as well as a confident personality and an enthusiasm for dance. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. An ability to work on their own initiative and as a member of a team are required. The individual must have experience of the dance sector, fundraising, tour booking and marketing. Knowledge of the South Asian arts sector is desirable.

 

This is a three year post with a yearly renewable contract, part - time, 3 days per week. The individual must be able to work flexible hours, and sometime work on weekends, evenings and internationally subject to the nature of the projects.

Salary: £23,000 per annum pro rata
