Residency/Exhibition Opp for Crafts/Maker with Recycled Material, Weave RecyclePosted by W.Midlands on 27th February 2012
Weave Recycle is a creative recycling centre offering a 'residency' opportunity for a crafts/designer/maker to create new work to be exhibited as part of Warwickshire Open Studios. The artist will have selected access to a working space and be expected to create a body of work with the recycled materials made available by Weave. The exhibition will take place between Sat 30th June and Sun 15th July and will be held at Weave Recycle. The work produced will be made available for sale (Weave will take a commission fee).
To view a sample of the materials we require you to work with please visit www.weaverecycle.co.uk or visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/weaverecycle. The residency will commence shortly after the closing date and will need to be completed in time to install work for the start date of the exhibition. Please note this is a flexible opportunity, and the artist is not required to work on-site at Weave.
To apply please send a CV and up to 3 examples of relevant work, with a proposal outlining what you might intend to make with the recycled materials. The closing date for applications is Tues 6th March and successful applicants will be invited to an informal interview on either Fri 9th or Wed 14th March.
